Project Background

MORSI is a performing arts festival where dance and theatre collide: raw, physical, and deliberately uncomfortable. "Morsi" is the Italian for "bites".
The visual identity starts from that tension. The wordmark is not a neutral logotype, it is a letterform under pressure. Each new edition the letters stretch, fracture, and distort, as if the body performing on stage has entered the typography itself. The system stays recognisable across twelve years while never repeating itself.
Working with Roberta Cesani and Laura Zanetti, we have produced every edition's full communication system for the Civica Scuola di Teatro Paolo Grassi in Milan. Programmes, posters, social media graphics, and motion web and screen contents. The identity lives equally well in print and web, because the festival does too.
